Our Specializations
The chronic stress, trauma, and burnout continuum describes how prolonged pressures and challenges can affect our health and well-being over time. While somatic therapies have proven effective for a wide range of psychological concerns, they are particularly effective in reversing symptoms related to chronic stress, trauma, and energetic burnout.
Chronic + Acute Stress
Chronic stress occurs when ongoing demands keep the body and mind in a heightened state of alert. Over time, this can wear down resilience and energy.
Somatic therapies help relieve chronic stress by addressing its effects on both the mind and body. When stress becomes ongoing, the nervous system can get stuck in patterns of tension or alertness that talking alone may not resolve. Somatic approaches help regulate the nervous system, release stored tension, and cultivate a steadier, more centered state of being.

Trauma + Overwhelm
Trauma happens when overwhelming events exceed our ability to cope, leaving lasting effects on both body and mind in the form of hypervigilance, avoidance, emotional distress, nightmares, and physical symptoms such as insomnia and heart palpitations.
Somatic therapies help heal trauma by working with the body’s natural responses to overwhelming experiences. Trauma is not only stored in our memories by also in our nervous system and physical tension. Somatic approaches help the body release stuck energy and restore a sense of safety and regulation.

Energetic Burnout
Burnout develops when chronic stress continues without relief, leading to exhaustion, reduced motivation, and emotional depletion. Burnout often develops when the body stays in a state of overdrive for too long, leaving little room for rest or renewal.
Through mindful attention, somatic work helps restore balance, rebuild energy, and reconnect you with a sense of ease and vitality.

Attachment + Relationship Difficulty
Somatic and skills-based therapies help address attachment and relationship difficulties by working with both the nervous system and practical tools. By gently tuning into bodily sensations, clients learn to recognize how past attachment experiences live in the body and influence reactions such as shutdown, anxiety, or reactivity in relationships.
At the same time, skills-based approaches build capacity for emotional regulation, clear communication, and healthy boundaries. Together, these methods support greater safety, self-trust, and flexibility, making it easier to form and sustain secure, connected relationships.

Shame + Harsh Criticism
Shame and harsh criticism often live not just in our thoughts, but in the body as deeply held patterns of tension, collapse, or self-protection. Somatic therapy, particularly Inner Relationship Focusing, helps clients gently turn toward these painful inner experiences with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. Over time, people can soften long-standing self-blame, access unmet needs, and cultivate a more supportive inner voice.
The process of working somatically can foster increased self-acceptance, emotional regulation, and a felt sense of worthiness and ease. Many clients also find they feel more confident and authentic in relationships, no longer driven by shame-based reactions or self-criticism.
